Seminaire sur les Produits Halal- Montreal le 3 Octobre 2007

SÉMINAIRE SUR LES PRODUITS HALAL
Four Points Sheraton Hôtel
Salle Mont Everest
475, rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montréal, QC H3A 2L9

LE 3 OCTOBRE 2007

Madame, Monsieur,

With advanced technology, equipment and facilities, Canadian companies are well positioned to meet the needs of Muslim communities in becoming a leading supplier of Halal food products throughout the world.

This seminar will highlight the current state of the world Halal industry, opportunities for Canadian producers in North American and major international Halal markets, as well as success stories from Canadian companies that have captured these opportunities.

20th November 2006- Briefing & Discussion- "KSA: Business and Investment Opportunities" (Toronto)

Business and Investment Opportunities in Saudi Arabia

Briefing and Discussion on Monday, November 20th, 2006 from 3:00 pm to 5:00pm

Ontario Investment and Trade Services, 161 Bay Street, Suite 4040
TD Canada Trust Tower, BCE Place, Toronto, Ontario

Speaker:

Mr. Andreas Weichert, Minister-Counsellor and Senior Trade Commissioner,
Canadian Embassy, Riyadh

The Canada Arab Business Council (CABC), in cooperation with Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, is pleased to invite you to a discussion and briefing on the market and opportunities for Canadian firms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The KSA is the largest economy in the Middle East, comprising 25 percent of the Arab world's GDP, and it is the world's leading oil exporter, possessing one-fourth of the world's proven oil reserves with an income of $17 billion per month. Saudi Arabian economic development is focused on developing the Kingdom's infrastructure, human resources, and private-sector, and the leadership is actively promoting the privatization of the industrial and agricultural sectors. Recently, the Saudi government has undertaken a major effort to support economic diversification and increase the development of non-oil sectors by encouraging private sector participation. This is creating significant opportunities for Canadian exporting firms in both goods and services. The discussion with Mr. Andreas Weichert will focus on business opportunities in Saudi Arabia and how business is conducted in this largest economy in the Middle East.

There is no charge for this event but to learn how KSA spends $17 billion per month
